Tyler is what his wife and friends call “obsessed” with fishing. He’s lucky enough to fish several times a week, from the Charlotte, NC area freshwater lakes to the saltwater coasts of the Carolina’s and Florida.
Born in Florida, Tyler was saltwater fishing with his Father before he was three years old. Tyler became addicted to kayak fishing 6 years ago when trying to find a way to fish remote areas of the Catawba River. Being so close to the water, feeling the fish pull your kayak and being “in” the action has had him hooked ever since! Tyler’s favorite trip is taking his Hobie Pro Angler off the coast of Pensacola, FL to chase Kingfish and Mahi. His best catch from a kayak was a 43″ Bull Red.
Living in Fort Mill, SC, most of Tyler’s time on the water is spent bass fishing. Tyler is a member of the Queen City Kayak Bass Fishing club where he competes in monthly tournaments. This is Tyler’s first year on the Great Outdoor Provision Company and Hobie Fishing Teams.
Tyler has 3 young kids, Kruiz (4yrs), Ryker (3yrs) and Pence (9mo). Kruiz and Ryker already love to fish with daddy but have not yet got over the fear of touching a fish.
