As a wilderness outfitter, we equip folks so they are comfortable in the outdoors. The thought of voluntarily leaving a warm, dry home requires the confidence that one’s gear is adequate protection for the journey. Shelter, food, and clothing, things normally taken for granted, become a priority as we embark into the wild. And for the adventurer, the return to a home affords the opportunity to savor the memories of the trip. Habitat Day reminds us that not everyone has an affordable home.
