Raleigh, NC has a new greenway section that connects to Wm B. Umstead State Park, one of the most popular parks in the Triangle area. Known as the Crabtree West Extension, this new section is 2.5-miles of paved trail that runs from Crabtree Valley Mall to Wm B. Umstead State Park.
GOPC staff and customers love this new addition. Now, folks can go from Umstead Park to the Neuse River all along the Crabtree Creek Greenway. The design and architectural accomplishments are quite impressive – inspiring us to name the bridge structure, west of Duraleigh, – The Glenwood ViaDuct.
Great Outdoor Provision Co. is supporting the Friends of the Raleigh Greenway with a celebration on Saturday, Sept 14th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Activities will take place in the parking lot at 5171 Glenwood Avenue.
