Jerry Dilsaver is an outdoor writer published throughout the U.S. He came to kayak fishing from a successful tournament career with the Southern Kingfish Association and US Anglers Association where he scored a SKA National Championship and a USAA Angler of the Year Award. He has scaled back his tournament fishing in favor of hosting seminars and clinics. However, he proved he still has what it takes by placing 2nd in the Speckled Trout Division in the 2015 Oak Island Classic Kayak Fishing Tournament.
Jerry enjoys fishing the inshore waters for red drum, speckled trout and flounder and fishing the nearshore ocean for king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, large red drum and sharks. He believes that no inshore kayak should be without an anchor trolley and anchor pin for stealth fishing in the shallow marsh.
