As a wilderness outfitter, we equip folks so they are comfortable in the outdoors. The thought of voluntarily leaving a warm, dry home requires the confidence that one’s gear is adequate protection for the journey. Shelter, food, and clothing, things normally taken for granted, become a priority as we embark into the wild. And for the adventurer, the return to a home affords the opportunity to savor the memories of the trip.
Habitat Day reminds us that not everyone has an affordable home. This year, through the generous support of MSR and Cascade Designs, our “Shelter and Comfort” campaign spread the vision of “every family in a healthy home, a peaceful neighborhood, in a sustainable, diverse, tolerant, and vibrant community.” We appreciate the help that you provided in support of Habitat for Humanity.
