Cane Creek Park

Cane Creek Lake is a great destination if you simply can’t decide what you want to do. Sure, paddling is at the top of your list, and the 315-acre lake with boat rentals certainly accommodates your driving passion. Nooks and crannies abound along the shoreline making this a great spot for exploring. And bring your fishing pole: this is one of only three trophy bass lakes in the state.

The lake’s modest size means you may have time after your paddle for other pursuits. If you’re a mountain biker, the lake has 13 miles of trail, with something for every riding level. Hikers will appreciate the more than 7 miles of trail along the shores. Equestrians are welcome as well, so don’t hesitate to bring Flicka along. And did we mention the miniature golf? And swimming? And the playfields?

Fortunately, with so much to do there’s also camping, including a backcountry site, to accommodate an overnight stay.
