Join Atrium Wake Forest Baptist’s Department of Emergency Medicine faculty, resident physicians, and Wilderness Medicine Fellowship for a free and fun event hosted in tandem with sponsors Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company and Great Outdoor Provision Company called Bandages and Brews: Stayin’ Alive in the Outdoors.
After two years off due to COVID-19, Wake Forest’s emergency medicine community is excited and ready again to teach hands-on wilderness first aid training and experience with handling common and serious outdoor emergencies.
Attendees will receive practical advice on building a first aid kit, and will learn about animal bites/stings, how to treat sprains, strains and fractures, and ways to stop severe bleeding.
