DESCRIPTION: Wilderness Systems has designed what is arguably the ultimate kayak fishing craft on the market today. The Commander 120 combines versatility, maneuverability and ease of paddling of a kayak with the capacity, comfort and visibility of a canoe.

The secret to the Commander 120 versatility is in the new Freedom Elite Seating system. While the seat itself has all the premium comfort features one would expect from Wilderness Systems, the Freedom Elite Seat will slide under the rear deck of the kayak. This allows one to have the entire cockpit area available for standing -a great feature for sight fishing anglers. Furthermore, once the Freedom Elite Seat is slid out of the way, the rear deck has a secondary Captain”s Seat to allow the boat to be paddled or fished just like a canoe. In Canoe mode, the Commander 120 gives great visibility due to the higher seating position. Finally, you can even remove the seat for use as a camp chair.

You can easily outfit the Commander 120 with all your favorite Kayak Fishing gear. Various mounting options and the new SlideTrax accessory system makes outfitting a breeze. If you like, you can purchase the Angler version of the Commander 120 that has most of the bells and whistles factory mounted. Specifically, the Factory Angler version comes with a SlideTrax Anchor Trolley system, a 3lb Anchor with Bag, a SlideTrax Universal Mounting Plate, a Scotty Rod Holder and a Stern Transom Plate (for mounting a trolling motor)

Probably the toughest decision for most Kayak Anglers is whether to buy a Commander or a Sit on Top for Kayak Fishing. Our advice is to consider where you are most likely to paddle or fish. If you want to use your boat in rough or coastal conditions, the self-bailing qualities of a SOT are tough to beat. On the other hand, if you want a dry ride and place a premium on comfort and versatility, the Commander 120 is an obvious choice.

RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES:
