Jim Leisy: I have been kayak fishing for over 16 years. I used to own and fish from a boat but I enjoy kayak fishing more than the boat. Kayak Fishing makes you a better fisherman since you have to plan your trip with more accuracy to be successful since you can’t cover the same large territory as a boat. I love that GOPC stores give kayak fishing seminars that target various species of fish to help give us the knowledge for more successful fishing trips. Finally, I love the peaceful time on the water and the peace of mind knowing that I no longer have to wait in line at boat ramps. I have made many life long friends in the kayak fishing community. I enjoy helping with others that are starting this great sport and GOPC is dedicated to assist you with this journey. I have to mention that GOPC has been a very great partner with the JDRF and NCKFA to help promote the many benefits of kayaking with kids and families dealing with juvenile diabetes.
