Cedar Point Campground

A good jumping-off point for paddling the popular White Oak River, which quickly winnows from a wide expanse near the campground to a tight, intimate creek. A 1.3-mile trail, heavily reinforced with boardwalk, meanders through a wetland offering great opportunities for birders and other fans of coastal fauna and flora. The campground is also 4 miles from the beach and 3 miles from Bogue Sound, where additional paddling opportunities can be found.
