Celebrate Land Trust Day and National Trails Day with the Triangle Land Conservancy
Volunteer with Triangle Land Conservancy and/or one of its partners at the J. Logan and Elinor Moore Irvin Nature Preserve. Donated to Triangle Land Conservancy in 2007, the 269-acre preserve serves the community by providing outdoor environmental education programs for children and community garden space for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and the Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program. Together, these partners use the Preserve to connect children to nature, feed the hungry and new immigrant families, and protect wildlife habitat and clean water.
Triangle Land Conservancy and its partner organizations invite you to visit the Irvin Nature Preserve and get involved with one of the following volunteer opportunities:
- Triangle Conservation Corps – trail building and repairs to the Preserve’s barns
- Irvin Learning Farm – help with hands-on education programs
- Inter-Faith Food Shuttle – help with planting and tending community gardens
- Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program – help families displaced from their native Burma to grow food
