Celebrate National Trails Day and Land Trust Day with The Carolina Thread Trail!
Saturday, June 4th
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nation Ford Greenway & Catawba Indian Nation
York County, SC
Come out to help us clean up two sections of the Carolina Thread Trail in honor of National Trails Day. We’ll be hauling tires out of Sugar Creek along a stretch of the Nation Ford Greenway, and refurbishing an existing trail within the Catawba Indian Nation. No experience necessary, just a strong back and a great attitude! Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet and sturdy shoes!
The Carolina Thread Trail is a regional network of greenways and trails that reaches 15 counties and 2.3 million citizens. It links people, places, cities, towns and attractions. It links lives.
The trail preserves our natural areas and is a place for exploration of nature, culture, science and history, for family adventures and celebrations of friendship. It is for young, old, athlete and average. This is a landmark project. A legacy that will give so much, to so many, for so long.
Catawba Lands Conservancy is the lead agency for The Carolina Thread Trail.
