At Great Outdoor Provision Co. we give back to outdoor cornerstones that have marked our lives. For example, we chose Local Land Trusts because they acquire land for protection thus preserving open space for adventure. Scout Troops provide the leadership and skills that enable young people to safely enjoy the wilderness (check out our Scouting Program). We work with local Rescue Missions to collect coats for the homeless during the Great Outdoor Coat Swap. Habitat For Humanity works to provide affordable housing for families in need. We recognize that you make these contributions possible by shopping our stores so we thank you.

HAITI RELIEF
Great Outdoor Provision Co. responded immediately after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Since the 7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010 we have been working with various local relief efforts. The recovery is slow and it will be a long journey. We are inspired by the many who serve in these relief efforts and working to coordinate supplies for local agencies. Among the many local organizations involved we have worked closely with the following and commend for consideration of your support.

If you or your organization are involved in meeting the relief needs of Haiti we extend a 10% discount on the purchases toward that relief effort. We also work with groups on special purchases to help extend your finances for relief. If your organization is interested in a special purchase please contact us at 919-834-2916 Ext 201.
DONATION REQUESTS
At Great Outdoor Provision Co. we work hard to deliver the best outdoor gear and service to our customers. You, our customer, make that job deeply satisfying as you bring home great stories of adventure and fun. Together we share a common concern for our local community and the wild open space that makes adventure possible. One way we contribute to the preservation of adventure is through contributions.
The manager of your local shop works hard to support local land trusts, local Scout Troops, our local Habitat for Humanity along with many other outreach efforts. This contribution plan includes a budget for community events that take place in our neighborhood and align with our mission.
If you feel that your organization’s event falls into that category please complete the submission form and return to your local shop. We will make every effort to fill those donations that meet our mission goals and budget.
