DESCRIPTION: The P&H Scorpio is based on the highly regarded Cetus. The Scorpio offers improved efficiency over the rotomolded Capella 166 with only slightly less initial stability. The Shallow V Hull provides good Seaworthiness and responds well to edging. If edged properly, the Scorpio will Maneuver like a shorter Hybrid kayak. In terms of Efficiency, an average paddler can expect to cover ~5 miles in an hour of aggressive paddling.

This boat uses a Foam Core Polyethylene hull material for the one of the lightest and stiffest polyethylene sea kayaks on the market. The Scorpio uses Kajak Sport hatch covers, which are the driest in the industry. In addition to 3 bulkheads, you also get 4 hatches. The 4th hatch provides a storage area within easy reach on the front deck that is ideal for smaller items. You also get an Internal Skeg to aid tracking on windy days. The seat is one of the most comfortable available and the thigh hooks are fully adjustable . This boat is very durable and can take some real abuse.

The Scorpio fits Medium and Large paddlers 140 - 220 lbs.
