The vacuum bagged Aramid and Fiberglass Composite construction is extremely light, stiff and durable. This type of construction typically costs hundreds more yet the most surprising feature about the Kestrel 160 is the relatively low cost.

The Kestrel 160 is best suited for folks looking to venture into semi - protected waters such as marshes, estuaries, sounds, and lakes for long day trips or the occasional weekender. This kayak is best suited for folks 180 lbs to 300 lbs.
