DESCRIPTION: The key thing to know about the new Quest 11 is that it is a Hobie boat and as such, the ergonimics are superb and the design is extremely well thought out. The Quest 11 is the first 11 ft SOT we"ve paddled that is both well suited for fishing and provides an exceptional paddling experience.
Most compact Fishing Kayaks don"t paddle well but the Quest 11 is an exception. Comparred to competing designs that are wider, you do give up a small amount of initial stability but in return, you gain a very nimble and responsive kayak. The Quest 11 tracks very well and has good hull speed for an 11 ft SOT. The boat is responsive and maneuvers well when leaned slightly. The bow design offers a very dry ride.
Of course, this is not just a nice paddling SOT but a fishing machine. You get rod holders, intelligently designed storage areas and lots of places to mount accessories. You also get one of the most comfortable seats available for long excursions on the water. The new Hobie Quest 11 is an ideal choice for both traditional paddlers and anglers looking for a compact and responsive SOT.
