Pamlico Paddle - August 8
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009The Pamlico Rural Tourism Council announces the Pamlico Paddle for 2009 with a paddle set for the creeks in and near Oriental Saturday August 8. There are courses designed for both beginning and advanced paddlers.
Check-in begins at 7:30am on August 8 at the Wildlife boat ramp in Oriental. The paddle starts at 9am.
There are three trails — a 4 mile beginner paddle on Smith Creek, a 6 mile intermediate journey on Greens Creek, and a 9 mile advanced trip out on the Neuse River. Volunteers will help unload and load kayaks and canoes and help with the launching.
