		<description>Hi Bill-
Just wanted to drop in and thank you for your inclusion of me and Chuck Sutherland in your article. As an instructor, one is never sure whether any of the little seeds planted in a course will bloom. It really made my day to come across your blog and see what a great job you're doing carrying the cold water safety torch to enlighten new paddlers.

It's an excellent article and you've done a marvelous job getting all the key points across. It particularly warmed my heart that a newbie confessed that you (how could you Bill?!?) scared him half to death. When that happens, you know you've done the job well.

Better to get the cold water message through baptism in the chilly waters of one's kitchen sink than to encounter that demon for the first time in the great outdoors.

Warm Regards,
