2007 Jackson Fun Series have Arrived
The 2006 Jackson Fun Series was already regarded as one of the most versatile WW designs on the market. Totally redesigned for 2007, the new Jackson Fun Series promises to be a significant upgrade from its predecessor.
If you are not familiar with the original Jackson Fun Series of whitewater kayaks, the key design elements were:
- Stronger, Lighter and more Durable Cross Linked Polyethylene Material
- No external fastener holes in the boat
- Ideal Balance between River Runner and Play Boat
- Very Comfortable Outfitting
For the 2007 models, the changes include:
- Completely New Hull Design (more on this below)
- More River Friendly than before
- Improved Play Boating characteristics
- Greatly Improved Ergonomics and Outfitting (more on this below)
Basically, the 2007 Fun Series are an entirely new set of models from before. Below are details related to the new Hull Design:
- The new hull is wider, more stable with a larger planeing surface.
- A touch more rocker and slightly more volume improves river running characteristics.
- A fuller chine (sidewall) improves rollability.
- Slicier side profile makes elevated play moves (e.g. Cartwheels) easier.
Below are some details related to the new Ergonomics and Outfitting:
- Taller Knee Wells and Footbumps make the new Funs luxuriously comfortable.
- Improved Cockpit Design makes it easier to enter/exit the boat.
- Happy Seat/Happy Feet combination makes these the most comfortable WW kayaks on the market today.
New 2007 Models can fit larger paddlers.
